Parametrizing Singularly to Enclose Data Points by a Smooth Parametric Surface

چکیده
The problem of enclosing a data point by a smooth piece wise polynomial surface is solved with the help of a singular parametrization. The technique is illustrated by an algorithm that constructs a Cl surface interpolating 3D positional and normal data. Resume Une surface lis se a pieces polynomielles est construit autour d'un point par une parametrization singulaire. Approximating Digital Shapes by Parametric Surfaces
A method for parametrizing discrete points sampled from a smooth shape and fitting a rational Gaussian surface to the points with a required accuracy is presented. With the proposed method, a very complex shape can be represented by a single surface, and the surface can be rendered at a desired level of detail by adjusting a smoothness parameter.

Introduction Statistical analysis of the data on the Earth's surface was a favorite subject among many researchers. Such data can be related to animal's migration from a region to another position. Then, statistical modeling of their paths helps biological researchers to predict their movements and estimate the areas that are most likely to constitute the presence of the animals. From a geome...
متن کاملShape Recovery of a Strictly Convex Solid from N-views
In this paper we consider the problem of extracting the shape of a smooth convex solid, V ⊂ R, from a set of N photographs. The method begins by extracting the edges of each photograph. These edges are used to form a cone whose apex is the camera centre, which is guaranteed to enclose V . For a strictly convex solid any two such cones will most likely touch at two places [3], whose coordinates ...
متن کاملParametrizing Program Analysis by Lifting to Cardinal Power Domains
A parametric analysis is an analysis whose input and output are parametrized with a number of parameters which can be instantiated to abstract properties after analysis is completed. This paper proposes to use Cousot and Cousot’s Cardinal power domain to capture functional dependencies of analysis output on its input and obtain a parametric analysis by parametrizing a non-parametric base analys...
